| sweet. I was just thinking about this movie the other day...I love Stuart Gordon's epic resumé (except for the Masters Of Horror episode, but they all sucked), so this is a must-have for me... |

Great review Noto! This is one of my favorite films, but I can't really justify the expense for a double dip for just the documentary (I have the Millenium edition). I would have bought it in a heartbeat if there was a big upgrade in picture/audio quality, but since that's a wash, I think I'll stick with my edition. _________________ The fun of rides and pubic eating can’t last forever - JFelix

You know, I've seen this movie probably three times but never did buy it. I'm going to pick this set up tomorrow.
Great review Noto! I can't wait to watch it again.

I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it when you do! I love this film. _________________ These movies just seem too 'Noto' for me.

My thoughts exactly. I was hoping that this would be a big upgrade from the Millenium edition but it doesn't seem to be.
If only Bride of Re-Animator would get the SE treatment. _________________

It's sad that Beyond is available in widescreen, but Bride isn't.

You need a widescreen copy? I can help you out with that if you send me an address via PM.

I have that SE of Bride of Reanimator as well, it's pretty sweet! What I REALLY want, though is an SE of the director's cut of From Beyond that was promised us after the movie played on the dish network last year. I need Barbara Crampton in her full glory leather S&M gear!! _________________ The fun of rides and pubic eating can’t last forever - JFelix

Great review, Noto! I own the Elite Millennium Edition of this and give it a spin at least once or twice a year.
On a semi-related note, Jeffrey Combs currently has a recurring character on USA's summer series The 4400. His character is a scientist who was/is working on a way to give normal people 4400 abilities. He develops an injectable serum that--you guessed it--has a sickly green glow to it. What a great homage! His character on the show isn't at all unlike Herbert West either. _________________ "Sir, I'm afraid you've gone mad with power."

Excellent review, Noto. Made me actually remember to try and get it from Best Buy last night (they were out).
I've been actually meaning to pick this up for a while last fall after watching it last fall online when the HorrorChannel website had it streaming with a live chat with Brian Yuzna last fall (I think). Luckily money was tight, so I had to hold off. Who knew the situation would work out in my favor?
